Date: January 3, 2025

A Tanzania-flagged vessel while registered in Cameroon called Shunxin-39, controlled by a Chinese entity, deliberately severed subsea cables near Keelung, disrupting Taiwan's external communications.

💥2. Taiwan-Penghu Cable Cut

Date: February 25, 2025

A Togolese-registered cargo vessel called Hongtai 58 that severed a submarine communication cable between Taiwan and Penghu.
